I’m pretty sure most asks us about the event date. Due to the current world economy recession, we’re playing safe by delaying the event further so that we have more time to approach sponsors and organize more fund-raising events ( yes, we do fund-raising events. EMiNA is a poor club ya know. Lol ). We tried our best to avoid having the same date with CosFest and fasting month. Look at the bright side, you have more time to prepare that killer costume or watever you’re planning on ^_^. Anyway, we’re really sorry about date if it upsets you T_T.

Don’t worry, we are just trying to stick with our “we don’t organize sucky event” committee motto. With more time, we’ll be able to organize the event better than before ^_^.

Yes, we realize that our event was too big to be held in the same exam hall ( what can we say? free venue is very… tempting ~ ) This time, say goodbye to “overcrowdedness”, “lack-of-oxygen”, “i-can’t-feel-the-aircond” and “I-CAN’T-MOVE!!” as we will organize this event in a bigger hall. Don’t worry, we know you cosplayers hate shopping complexes XD.

With bigger hall, we’ll be able to cater our growing crowd. More space for everything too ( and we can finally fit in moar art/doujin booths. ).

We’ll announce the venue soon.

Really sorry for the delays.

Currently most of the core committees are tied up with post-event matters, coming final exams, final year project, industrial training preparation and other academic matters. We are really sorry. >_<

Here’s the technical specs required for the video:

• Shoot in HIGH quality video ( set this manually in your digicam, videocam or phone ) in either .3GP, .avi or mpeg.
• Minimum duration of the clip is 2 minutes. Max is 10.

2. Cosplay Reminders

Since the group cosplay competition is on the first day, we will recommend online registrations as we will need to coordinate the audio tracks for each group. Registering on the spot is discouraged and you might be turned down if we’re unable to slot in your sketch. We wouldn’t want to see all your hard work and preparation go to waste so register NOW! We’ll keep online registration open till the 28th of February so that you guys have more time.

The same goes for the solo competition. Since there is somewhat less ‘paperwork’ involved and the solo cosplay competition is on the second day, registration will be open till the 1st of March (Day 1 of GACC2008). Any registrations after that are considered late.

This is just a friendly reminder from us here at GACC.

And sorry about the late update for the doujin booths. It’s all edo’s fault.

The tshirt preorder has been extended till event day. This is the best way to make sure you get your hands on these before they ran out. There’s 100 left, so, better be quick.
